Eating Disorder Support

  • Meal Support

Meal support involves eating in a guided, structured environment with a trained facilitator. It helps reduce anxiety, normalise eating behaviours, and provide accountability. This can be done in individual or group settings. During meal support, the focus is on staying present, following a meal plan or recovery goals, and working through distress in the moment with professional guidance.

  • Meal Processing

Meal processing takes place after the meal. It’s a space to reflect on what came up emotionally, physically, or cognitively during the eating experience. Clients are encouraged to share thoughts, identify patterns, and receive therapeutic feedback.

  • In-Person Grocery Support

This is a practical, hands-on service where clients are supported through the process of grocery shopping — either in-person or virtually. We help manage anxiety around food choices, challenge avoidance behaviours, and practice flexibility.

Comprehensive Eating Disorder Support

At CBT With Nicole, we offer a range of individual and group-based services to support recovery in a practical, compassionate, and evidence-informed way.

Whether you're working through anorexia, bulimia, binge eating disorder, or disordered eating patterns, our services are designed to meet you where you are — and help you move toward a healthier relationship with food and your body.

Meal Support Groups

Our meal support groups provide structure and guidance while eating in a safe, supportive environment. Facilitated by trained professionals, these sessions help reduce anxiety, support accountability, and promote consistent, recovery-focused eating.

Meal Processing Groups

Held after meal support, these groups offer a space to reflect on the emotional and cognitive experience of eating. Clients are supported in identifying thoughts, feelings, and behaviours that came up during the meal and begin to build new, healthier coping strategies.

1:1 Meal Support & Processing

For those who prefer individualised attention, we also offer one-to-one meal support and processing. These sessions are tailored to your specific recovery goals and offer more privacy and flexibility.

Grocery Store Support

We understand how challenging food shopping can be in recovery. Our clinicians offer in-person or virtual grocery store support, helping you plan, navigate the store, challenge fear foods, and reflect afterward. The goal is to reduce anxiety and build confidence in making food choices that align with recovery.

Dietitian Services

Our lead dietitian provides expert, compassionate nutritional support to complement your psychological treatment. Services include:

  • Collaborative meal planning

  • Guidance on balanced eating in recovery

  • Support for reintroducing fear foods

  • Coordination with your therapist for integrated care

Our lead dietitian offers specialised, evidence-based nutritional support tailored to eating disorder recovery. These services are distinct from therapy or life coaching — they focus specifically on the physiological and nutritional aspects of recovery, including meal planning, education, and support with reintroducing foods.

While therapy and coaching at CBT With Nicole may be eligible for funding through the Vivregoodby Fund, please note that dietitian services are privately billed and not covered under this program.

Dietitian services are available as a stand-alone support or can be integrated alongside your therapy or coaching for a collaborative care approach.
